First, listen to Steve Forbes on Obama’s Tax Plan

I had to laugh at his silly rhetoric.

Often you will hear well meaning, but mentally stunted, right wingers try to explain why “taxes” are bad and “incentives” are good. It is sad that Forbes is not mentally stunted, but depends on the stunted mentality of the right wing to get his lies across.

He discussed “incentives” in this speech. If you want to read a story of incentives and communism, I suggest Animal Farm, where we learn why communalism doesn’t work, or more accurately, totalitarianism and authoritarianism doesn’t work. But that’s not really what Forbes or I’m talking about here.

Forbes says that “taxes” are the price of success, the price you pay for taking risk. Shame on him for shoveling crap at the masses – he is simply wrong.

Taxes are the price you pay for taking resources from our country and the community.

Let me say that again in a different way …

As a person who has a life and family in this country, I have a house, phone, car, etc. And I work and store equity in the form of currency as I add value to goods and services. That’s right, my work adds value to products and services and I can exchange my stored up value for other goods and services through currency.

In order to live the way I want, I must pay for things like food, housing and a phone. I cannot go out and steal them, and I cannot make my own car with iron ore from the ground and an iron processing plant in my backyard. Also, I cannot make my own roads, grow my own cows in the backyard, etc. I also need fire and police protection.

Taxes pay to replace the resources I remove from the community — they represent my share of the commons. And once a person has earned an amount that provides value (equity) above the amount necessary to live an average lifestyle, then that person is receiving an unequal share of benefit and thus is responsible for paying more.

How much more should this person pay?

This is a simple questions to answer: The amount necessary to pay the bills. Just like your household, you must pay for what you use.

The right wingers say, “Why should I have to pay more just because I make more?” And the answer is, “You pay more because you’re taking more.”

“Oh,” they say, “That will make people not work.”

Get over it.

In our country, if you don’t work and you’re not born into wealth, your life is pretty rotten. There is an incentive for working. So the idea that Steve Forbes will suddenly go on welfare, shut down his businesses, start eating out of a soup kitchen and live under a bridge in a box is pretty lame. I know for sure that if Steve Forbes was taxed at the Eisenhower rate of 91% over 3.2 million per year, he would continue to think and act pretty much the way he does now. And then he would be paying for more of what he is taking from America, her labor, her laws, her resources, her roads, her court system, etc. And middle America would have more, and would spend more, and in turn Forbes would be much wealthier.

The truth is simple: Companies should be taxed on profits, and taxed heavily to create incentives for them to re-invest in their company. If you re-capitalize, the money isn’t taxed. This creates stable companies for the future, but cuts down on short term windfall profits to people like Forbes. The FTC should prevent over consolidation of corporations in our country to keep businesses competitive and innovative (large, monopolistic, multinational corporations, do not innovate – they work toward maximizing profits by being non-innovative and prevent competition).

So, this is what I say to Forbes: To create the strongest economy, we must protect U.S. businesses and U.S. workers. Tariffs were once the mainstay of revenue in this country and I recommend that they should be re-employed again. Simply put, we all know that a country that trades against its own factories cannot survive when the rest of the world community is protecting their own industry (as they do). This is a simple truth. Don’t believe me? Try selling a U.S. made car in Japan or Korea and see how that works out.

It is much like running a farm: A good farmer has to have good animal husbandry. A farmer knows that reaping short term profits by selling seed corn and butchering the diary cows will lead to economic disaster. Likewise, failing to support a strong middle class, where a 50 hour week can support a family of 4 in a middle class lifestyle is the same as selling the seed corn and killing the dairy cow. A good farmer knows that rotating crops, developing good soil, and caring for his livestock will cost him in the short run, but lead to profits and a stable business.

This is how America worked from the mid 30’s to the mid 70’s when Regan unbalanced the equation. And we have been paying for it ever since.

Can’t Steve Forbes see this truth?

Of course he can. He is simply a greedy, rich, liar who cares little for our country or its people. He cares mainly about Steve Forbes. He could care less about good economic husbandry. It’s not his farm, after all. Who cares if it gets driven into the ground?

Unlike the Bush Zombies, he understands the facts, but dupes the zombies that listen to him. Thus I have much more respect for the Zombies than I do for Steve Forbes.

Have you noticed lately the Republican’s and their zombie followers complaining about the economy and how the Democrats caused this mess. They blame the Democrats? Now for the common Zombie, I can understand the dilemma. They have just learned what the “Free Market” really means. Free from regulation, free from fairness, free from anything except greed, greed and more greed. The result is much the same result that a farmer has if he eats the milk-cow instead of SELLING THE MILK. Yes, that’s right, the poor stupid farmer destroys the very asset needed to make a living. We have sent our jobs overseas and continue to not pay our bills, borrowing money from foreign investors and sticking the bill to the middle class to pay. We have been on a drunken spending spree, but not spending the money on the citizens who work for this country. Instead, we have spent the last 8 years stuffing the pockets of the people who already have the everything and letting our country rot.

For the Bush Zombies — this must be a shock.

What must it be like? I cannot imagine having the rug under my entire world jerked out from under me. But this is what is happening to the Bush Zombies as I write this. They are seeing that the “free free free market” is also free to destroy them as well.

And yet, as the Zombies are in mid air, falling toward the ground, the words from their mouths are still yelling DEMOCRATS.

Okay, I admit it, they are zombies after all, but COME ON. Even a ZOMBIE figures out the truth sometimes, right? Right? Am I right here? Lill’ help. Right?

Well according to this graph, history seems to be repeating itself.

The Republicans were in charge, both the House and Senate, and they had the Presidency as well. They controlled trade policies and regulatory laws, much like they have for the past 8 years, and I could argue that they have manipulated and thwarted the Democrats since seizing control of congress in 1994.

Indeed, the truth about how this mess was made is very clear. And our future is clear as well. If you elect John McCain, you will ensure a repeat of history — an ugly history where 25% of the population will be unemployed and the value of assets plummet, leaving owner’s value underwater.

In 1928 the U.S. has 100 million people. We have over 300 million now. And this time, we owe trillions to foreign investors. Also, a high percentage of people in the 30’s lived on farms AND in those days, people actually worked and made things. We just push paper around and rape the land, giving the profits to billionaires, now.

You can expect this depression to exponentially more difficult that the last one.

This is what happened in 1928 — America could not see past the lies of the Republicans. They paid for it dearly.

Only YOU can stop this mess, only you can vote for Obama.

The Last Word…

I see fewer and fewer zombies now days.

This is because even the zombies see our county collapsing and it’s the direct result of the insane conservative, trickle down economics that Bush and now McCain espouse.

We’re at 30 days before the election and here is your choice:

Barack Obama — Or the end of our America.

• Ivy league graduate raised by his grandparents.
• Never given anything in his life, and worked for everything he has ever obtained. Not rich, but not poor.
• He received a law degree from Harvard where he graduated in the top of his class.’
• Was the president of the Harvard Law Review.
• Taught 12 years of constitutional law.
• Served 8 years in the Illinois state legislature.
• Served 4 years in the U.S. Senate.

Make no mistake about it, the Republicans want to pin this economic disaster on the Democrats.

Are the Democrats to blame? Hardly. This situation has been caused by people like John McCain, Phil Graham, the Regan conservatives, and the lemmings that roped America and drug it over the cliff with …

- Insane trade policies
- Trickle down economics
- No support for labor
- No support for U.S. manufacturing
- Exporting technology to competing countries
- Tax cuts for the wealthy by covering operating expense with debt
- No regulation for financial institutions
- Starting wars of choice

Leaving us with a country that makes failing financial instruments and little else.

Yes, the Republicans are responsible for this. This is not a bi-partisan disaster. This is their fault. Clinton left a budget surplus, an economy that was going into a downturn, but a cyclical one. Clinton is not innocent. He did sign many Republican bills. But let’s face it, this is a Republican meltdown.

Six years of Republican iron clad control, shutting Democrats out of every meeting, removing transparency, squelching any kind of reasonable counter dialogue. The Republicans would not even let the Democrats have a hearing room to meet on media consolidation. They had to have a forum in the basement of the Whitehouse. The Republicans did not let the Democrats up for air for 6 years. And for the last 18 months the Republicans have  filibustered and obstructed any reform legislation. (92 filibusters as of today), more than any congress in American history.

The Republicans have had their way - first by strong-arming, now by obstructing.

And now, in comes this $700 billion bailout plan.

Here is the truth: This entire charade is a ploy by the Republicans who are now playing “Pin the tail on the Donkey”.

Exhibit 1:  No oversight clause, a section in the bill blatantly describing the following:

Section 8 states the following:

Decisions by the Secretary pursuant to the authority of this Act are non-reviewable and committed to agency discretion, and may not be reviewed by any court of law or any administrative agency.

Would anyone with an I.Q. higher than the temperature of ice water think this would be passed? This is utterly laughable.

Q. Why would they think this has a chance of passing?
A. The Republicans wanted this bill untenable.

Exhibit 2: Written months ago — all three pages.

This document was created months ago. This was kept under wraps until the inevitable bank melt down happened.

Fratto insisted that the plan was not slapped together and had been drawn up as a contingency over previous months and weeks by administration officials. He acknowledged lawmakers were getting only days to peruse it, but he said this should be enough. 

Q. Why would they wait to drag this nutty bill out now when they admitted it was drafted months ago?
A.  They wanted to put the Democrats on the spot, where a good decision is impossible. They wanted America to be harmed, so they could make the Democrats look bad.

Q. Why did they admit this was written months ago?
A. It is hard to keep up lies when all you do it lie.

Exhibit 3: Insisting the bill must be acted upon immediately.

Let’s face it, this behavior is meant to make the Democrats over-react, which they have. Wait to release the document until it’s too late. Insist on action immediately.

Q. So what IS this proposal, blatantly flawed, written and held for months and now the only thing that can prevent imminent disaster for the United States?
A. This is BAIT for the Democrats.

And of course the Democrats have picked up the stink bomb and are trying to work with it, while the Republicans stand opposed to George W. Bush.

These Republicans can now say the Democrats are in favor of a bailout, even though they have been opposed to the Bush plan. It won’t matter. The media will leave out those finer details.

One thing is certain, nothing good can happen!

• If the Democrats even THINK of supporting a piece of legislation with the word ‘Bailout’, they will look like they are supporting George Bush.
• If the Democrats DON’T support some kind of economic help, another Great Depression is imminent. The Democrats will be blamed for letting it happen.

We can only hope Americans will see this for what it is, another Republican trap, and they will vote every Republican in the country out of office.

Hey Zombies, looks like your leaders are deadly (no pun intended) accurate when picking presidential vice presidents. I am amazed.

Sarah Palin is the perfect VP choice. Everything about her is simply – neo-conservative.

1. Palin was once runner up in a beauty contest, Ms. Alaska. This means she is hot! Whew, have you seen her contest picks? What insight can this give you? As you know, for conservative men who choose sexual relationships with females, there are basically two kinds of ‘gals’: 1) Trophies and 2) breeders. Sarah Palin falls into BOTH categories! She is a mother of 5, although one is a special needs child. Yes, she is sizzling hot. She doesn’t have to have a brain, she is fertile and good looking. LINK

2. Palin supports “old fashioned values” but doesn’t live her life as she espouses. Wow, she’s a hypocrite right out of the chute. How is THAT for right wing values? She doesn’t support the use of birth control, even among married couples. LINK  In other words, a woman’s place is in the home, popping out babies, unless she’s running the free world. One has to wonder if she can have time between her Downs Syndrome baby and keeping Vladimir Putin from nuking us. But she doesn’t place a very high value on her disabled baby, she can have others take care of that. Mothering is for other women. That is, do as I say, not as I do.

NOTE: This seems like a good time for a couple of Palin Republican jokes: Palin Joke 1) Why doesn’t a woman need a driver’s licence? Because there isn’t a road between the bedroom and the kitchen.  Palin Joke 2) What do you say to a woman who has two black eyes? Nothing, you already told her twice.

3. Palin doesn’t support sex education, which might explain why her 17 year old unmarried daughter is pregnant. LINK

4. She plays the crony card very well. She removed the Alaskan safety commissioner from office (allegedly) when he refused to fire her brother in law who was divorcing her sister. While she denies the allegations, come on folks, she’s a perfect fit for the Neocons. She is “in your face” belligerent about what she did. Of course she has hired a lawyer to defend her against the whole mess, but think about it – she can continue politicizing the justice department right out of the box. Who says she doesn’t have experience… Hahahaha…. LINK

5. She’s a flip flopper, but who cares. For example, she supported the bridge to nowhere until it became politically advantageous to not support it. Then she used her non-support as political capital.

She changed her mind, [her spokesman] said, when “she saw that Alaska was being perceived as taking from the country and not giving, and that impression bothered her and she wants to change it. … I think that Sarah Palin is someone who has the courage to reevaluate situations as they developed.”… LINK

This falls right in line with the normal course of action for all Necons. Her true political views are not in question, they are known – she does whatever it takes to get elected. What is only in question is her ability to blatantly lie and get away with it, which seems to be a talent of hers. She fits right in with the entire RNC persona.

6. Her husband was a BP executive, but quit when it seemed a conflict of interest. None the less, he is involved with oil. Perfect again.  LINK

So, there is no doubt, Sarah Palin is the PERFECT fit for the McCain presidential VP spot: She is a hypocritical, belligerent, power abusing, sexually inept, fake, but a good looking liar. She is, in essence, the Tanya Harding of politics. A good looking mean bitch.

This is the perfect pick for McCain.

Alright, I know you zombies aren’t the sharpest tools in the shed, but I’m amazed at how the right wing Koolaid has taken over every synapse in your brains.

Off Shore Drilling…

All right, here’s the scoop. According to the right wing, if we only give the oil companies the ability to drill off shore, i.e. if we give them leases over and above the 10,000 leases they have now, they will do the following:

(NOTE: This is what they are telling me, and I’m supposed to believe it. I’m not making this up, it comes from the zombie kings)

1.The oil companies will immediately (upon receiving the lease), go off shore and start drilling. Why?

2. This way they can bring down the price of oil… so we consumers will pay them less…

3. Because obviously they are making too much money at around $4 bucks a gallon.

4. The oil companies, feeling despair about the American consumer and how much money we are shoveling into their coffers, will want to go out and take risks in the ocean, paying exorbitant prices to expand their exploration, so they can bring down the price.

5. Because, the oil companies feel terrible about how much money we are giving them…

I never cease to be amazed at the ability for Zombies to actually look past reality as if it doesn’t exist.

I have met two people in the past week who are – for all intensive purposes – completely delusional about the real world.

One of them came prancing up to me saying, “The Democratic Congress has the lowest approval rating of any congress anytime, anywhere.” Of course his arms were stretched out before him and he had no idea what he was actually talking about.

Honestly, it felt to me as if I were trying to teach a new puppy how to ride a scooter. He had just pissed on the floor and was wagging his zombie tail and chirping happily.

To explain that the hatred for congress by the American public is the culmination of 1) the destruction of America by conservatives, 2) the wholesale theft of our economy supported by conservatives and 3) the inability for congress to effectively thwart the Bush Crime family.

Yes, America hates congress.

Just as a hungry baby hates the hunger pangs, the result of his tummy, and the baby cries out for salvation.

But it will not happen in a short legislative session. Why?

Because ½ the Democrats have become conservative too.

What my zombie friend has failed to understand is that the public doesn’t hate congress. It hates complacent behavior that has been the demise of our nation. It hates the fact that the conservatives have filibustered so much legislation that nothing gets accomplished and it hates the fact that the Democrats are not as dishonest, shallow and greedy as the Republicans. Oh common, America hates the fact that the Democrats don’t walk into congress and beat the holy shit out of the piss-ants that have caused all this trouble.

For my other friend, he is belligerent. For him, the game is about wearing the jersey. His team is the Republicans and he will keep being their cheerleader up until they have the first round draft pick (aka the end of the next depression I guess).

The moral of the story is simple: As I have explained time and time again, you can’t argue with a zombie. They simply keep trying to eat you, regardless of what you say. It’s best to simply walk away. At least they will be too slow to catch you.

Here is the right wing game plan for Obama:

Smear the holy crap out him with lies and propaganda. Call Obama a Muslim, American hating, sleeper president who will side with the enemy. Of course we always knew this was the plan on the right. We knew it all along. But now that “game day” has arrived, it is amazingly annoying.

How do you argue with this kind of stupidity? It is frightening and also the reason I built this site. I get tired of talking with Zombies and I needed a place to go. To actually hold a conversation with a Zombie is very difficult, much like discussing the failure of a marriage with your cat. The cat looks at you, you keep taking and no communication occurs. Zombies need something they can sink their rotting teeth into. Thus the site.

But before I get too disheartened, there is another side to the story. Obama is not a puppet or a dolt. He is the smartest guy on the block. That’s right. Obama is a guy who actually has a brain. 8 years of George Dubya Bush has left me forgetting that some presidents DO have brains.
